Coordination Division

Introduction

Coordination Division is entrusted with the work of coordinating with internal Divisions of NCTE, its 4 Regional Committees, its sister concerns like, UGC, AICTE, NEUPA, NCERT, AIU, CBSE, IGNOU etc. and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to achieve target and task of NCTE towards teacher education as per mandate provided in the NCTE Act, Rules, Regulation, Norms and Standards.

Objectives

The main objective of this section to coordinate with all Divisions at NCTE Hqs., New Delhi; its Regional Committees; sister concerns; affiliating bodies (SCERTs/Universities [Private / Government]); State Government / Union Territories and Ministry of Human Resource Development together with other Ministries of Govt. of India. Coordinate various meetings of NCTE successfully.

Sought out grievances / complaints of individuals against teacher training institutions and also of the TTIs.

Activities

This Division is coordinating meetings of the Council; Executive Committee; and Finance Committee of NCTE;

Constitution of Regional Committees;

Meeting of the Chairpersons and Regional Directors of the Regional Committees of NCTE with the Chairperson, NCTE and officers of NCTE;

Publication of NCTE’s various Notifications in the Gazette of India;

Complaints against teacher training institutions recognized by the Regional Committees of NCTE;

Replies to Parliament Questions;

Reply to Questions raised in Legislative Assembly;

Attend Inter-Departmental Note of Chairperson / Member Secretary, NCTE;

Replies of Right to Information pertain to Coordination Section;

Providing requisite information to Ministry of HRD, HRM/MOS;

Communication with affiliating bodies like Universities / SCERTs;

Communication with the Regional Committees to sought out grievances of the running teacher training institutions and new applied teacher training institutions;

Providing letter about validity of degree / diplomas etc.;

Communication with sister concern organisation like CBSE, NCERT, NUEPA, AIU, IGNOUR, UGC, AICTE, RCI etc.

Nomination of nominee of NCTE in the Committees constituted by Govt. of India / State Govt./ UTs. / Universities / UGC / and other Govt. Authorities;

All misc. works like Programmes, Seminars, Workshops and other invitations from the recognised teacher training institutions / Private Universities etc.;

Communication and dealing with Joint Working Groups with NCTE / MHRD etc.;

Reply to Parliamentary Consultative Committee;

Reply to Parliamentary Standing Committee;

Replies to other references pertain to other Ministries of Govt. of India;

Preparation of Annual Report of NCTE; and

Material supply to the Ministry for preparation of Annual Report of MHRD;

Process:

  • Dealing with complaints against recoginsed teacher training institutions by NCTE (its Regional Committees).

  • Complaints attended and addressed to the following for Action on the basis of the facts
    Comments on the complaint sought from the concerned TTIs and/or copies of the letters addressed to other, endorsed to the TTIs. Forward complaints to the Collector of the concerned District, where the alleged TTIs located for verification the facts and to submit their report on the complaints for action at the level of NCTE. Addressed to All Regional Committees for comments thereon or copies endorsed as per requirement. Copies also endorsed to the complainants for information. Forwarded complaints to Inspection Cell for inspection U/S 13 of NCTE Act, 1993 directly some times. Taken Action on the basis of the comment of the alleged teacher training institutions Take action on the basis of the report of the Collectors/Universities against alleged TTIs. Action by Regional Committees, if required as per direction of the NCTE Headquarters,New Delhi against alleged TTIs. Action by Inspection Section U/s-13 of the NCTE Act, 1993, after no reply from the concerned agencies received against the complaints, after lapse of stipulated time frame.
